Poetic, classic, and romantic. A time when Bukowski drink, and write for the Black Sparrow print. A place of once the Embassy Theater performs the orchestra of historic. A place today, offers lounge, dine, and swig.
The Black Sparrow
A name inspired by the place where Charles Bukowski published all his major works, The Black Sparrow is now a cocktail bar based on the former orchestra pit of Wellington’s iconic Embassy Theater.
“Our sophisticated flavours flow through the drink and light dining menus, which reflect a time only understood and applauded by the cult followers. The Black Sparrow is a place for women and gentlemen to enjoy all things aged, twisted and beautiful. Please, remove your coat and do come in.”
