Doesn’t matter hang-out or takeaway, they always got the finest, handcrafted poultry for you. Yup, it’s the promise that brought to you by (well, a rather good brand name as it turns out) the Holy Cow. “We boast a menu of what we call ‘slow and smoked goodness’. Hand rubbed and smoked to perfection. Saddled with house made sides, farm fresh greens and tasty treats. Finished off with America’s best craft beersand local wines. The Holy Cow will bring you back to a time when real food was real good.”
“Hand rubbed and smoked to perfection.”
Traditional, traditional, traditional
It’s always a philosophy that makes every modern-day eatery great. It is also what makes the Holy Cow barbecue so raw, authentic, and yet somehow contemporary. But more to the point, ‘traditional’ doesn’t just simply blend-in into the modern world all on its own. It needs something in the middle. Something that forms a portal between two different time-zone. And this is where Farm (a design agency in Pasadena) comes in to bring the 19th century wild-west cowboy bar back into life in the 21st.
“… ‘traditional’ doesn’t just simply blend-in into the modern world all on its own.”
Holy Cow! It’s all handmade!
The Holy Cow extends their usage of hands from the smoke roasting steaks, down to the tiniest available details that you might not even noticed. Let me give you some examples. The stickers that use to wrap around the takeaway food are intentionally hand-torn to let you know that everything you get is made authentically by hand. The primary logo, all the secondary logos, and other typography elements are hand-drawn to give the brand a life-like personality and, again, reflecting their craftsmanship values.
“… everything you get is made authentically by hand.”
Then we’ve the classic neon signage, the customized beer tap handles, and the hand-painted wall decorations. All these are just to make sure that you really know, or even, appreciate their effort of preserving the finest hands, with the most authentic recipes for you.
“… preserving the finest hands, with the most authentic recipes for you.”
“Barbecue is the quintessential American fare and everyone has a favorite style, flavor, cooking method, sauce. At Holy Cow we’ve been on a mission to find the Best of the U.S. and bring it to Los Angeles… in a relaxed, welcoming ‘no attitude’ restaurant ideal for friends and family to dig in, get messy, be loud and enjoy the king of comfort foods.”
