Paleontology, or dinosaurs (if you like) is a very scientific and biological matter. It might be very interesting, very exciting for most children (or most of us even). But the fact is, the only way to indulge your passion or curiosity of it is to simply be a paleontologist. There’s literally nothing else for the rest of the non-scientist, dino-heads to do. All we can really do is to watch Jurassic World or something from History Channel, once a while, perhaps. It’s really a shame for those who love these big, fossilized monsters.
Or is it? Because now, the History Channel (obviously realize this major significant) launches a site called Dino Hunt, which makes you feel like a full-on ‘virtual’ paleontologist.
Dino Hunt Canada by History Channel
Well, normally, I wouldn’t bring all these up here, but I think the design and the details of it is just worth a look from the other side of enthusiast, the designers. Anyway, the Dino Hunt site (created by ) is exactly what every dino-thusiast is looking for.
“The Dino Hunt provides a fun and engaging, cross-platform glimpse into this new dinosaur’s complete journey beginning with the discovery of the fossils. The website also offers users the opportunity to Ask an Expert – one-on-one access to the palaeontologists and experts from the miniseries, and learn more about Canada’s rich dinosaur history through the Dino Index’s 3D dino models with added images and encyclopedic text.”
